2nd Annual Gala Dinner/Auction A Success!
The 2nd Annual
Little Hands, Big
Dreams Gala, held Saturday, February 11 at Boulder Ridge Country
Club, was a success! Two hundred forty guests attended the
event that consisted of dinner, music, entertainment, silent
auction, and raffle. All proceeds benefit Woodstock Early Learning Center
by providing tuition to families requiring assistance. "Thank You,"
to our volunteers, staff, Board Members, and guests for making this
event a success.

VILLAGE HOSTS “WHEN CLUTTER CONTROLS”
Geared toward professionals who work
with seniors in retirement communities, assisted living, and
healthcare facilities, the seminar focused on this common behavior
associated with aging. Guest speaker, Mary Jo Zeller of
GeroSolutions, discussed why people hoard, the difference between
clutter and hoarding, interventions and what can be done to support

Residents of Hearthstone Village recently hosted their own version
of the Olympics to get in the mood for those held in Torino, Italy.
More than 50 people from Hearthstone Village, Hearthstone Courts,
and the community of Woodstock participated in games such as Potato
Bowling, Noodle Pool and Bean Bag Toss. After a full day of physical
activity, medals were awarded, as follows:
Gold - Jim Handke
Silver - Clarence Magerl
Bronze - George Rowland
Many women also participated but
were unable to outscore the guys (this time). Next year men and
women will compete in separate categories. George Rowland made pins
to commemorate the event for all participants.
