evening.

The 3rd annual Little Hands, Big
Hearts gala benefiting Woodstock Early Learning Center was a huge
success despite a winter blizzard! Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a fine
dinner, entertainment, silent auction, raffle, live auction and more.
The event was held at Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake In The Hills
during our recent snow and ice storm. Guests braved the elements to come
out in support of Woodstock Early Learning Center. More details coming
soon.
WELC STUDENTS CREATE ART

Wouldn't you love to own a
beautiful piece of original art? Now you can! Some of the students in
the WELC Blue Room (after school program) used acrylic paints, their
imaginations and creative skills to complete the two 40" x 30" modern
art pieces shown above. Both will be up for auction at the Little Hands,
Big Hearts fundraising event. Go to the Event Calendar page for more
information.

PEARL WILLHAMMER'S VILLAGE

Hearthstone Village resident, Pearl
Willhammer, graciously invited one and all to stop by to see her
spectacular miniature winter village. Pearl and her family have been
collecting and displaying the scenes which include animated
"action," music, and illumination, for many years. Thanks for
sharing, Pearl!
HEARTHSTONE VILLAGE HOSTS EVENT

HEARTHSTONE RECEIVES
DONATION HONORING NEW RESIDENTS

Mary and Henry
Niemeyer attended Our Savior Lutheran Church for the Deaf for more
than 70 years. Recently the church, located in Wood Dale,
closed its doors. The church
leaders wished to use their remaining funds to honor people like the Niemeyers who were long time members. The Niemeyers moved to
Hearthstone Senior Living Community in June. As a not for profit
organization serving area seniors, Hearthstone is eligible for and
welcomes donations. The church leaders from Our Savior Lutheran
Church for the Deaf chose to honor the Niemeyers with a donation to
Hearthstone.
Although the Niemeyers were sad to
leave their church, they have found a new church in Cary that offers
sign language interpreters.
