Activity and Social Programs

At Hearthstone Village there's always something going on!  Our social, cultural, educational and fitness activities are designed with active lifestyles in mind.  Participate in our daily exercise groups, socialize at special programs, enjoy live entertainment, ride a bus to shop, dine out or to attend events.  Stay sharp with our board, card, trivia, or computer games and participate in Village government through the Resident Council.

  Those who wish are encouraged to assume a leadership role in groups such as the Garden Club, Welcome, Activity and Dining Committees.  The Village provides on-site banking, beauty salon and library.

Area organizations bring pets such as dogs and cats for visits and cuddling.  Health and wellness is emphasized with blood pressure checks, flu shots, and preventative health screenings.  Wellness related workshops are scheduled monthly.

The wonderful people who form the Village family and the wide array of events promise a full and rich lifestyle with as much activity and social opportunities as you desire.

Good News! Hearthstone Village was recently awarded a grant from McHenry County Senior Services. Monies from the grant have enabled Hearthstone Village to purchase state of the art fitness equipment that is very “senior friendly.” New fitness equipment includes a Landice Treadmill, Lamer Air Force Bike and recumbent bikes.  As part of Hearthstone Village’s on-going Wellness Program, seminars will be held on topics such as diet and health, senior fitness and controlling diabetes through exercise.
